Usage limits: what they are and when they apply
Besides the monthly allowance, each plan has usage limits: a cap on automatic replies every 5 hours and another per day. It’s the protection that keeps a sudden burst from using up your month in a single day. It’s not what you’re paying for.
Each plan’s limits
| Plan | Every 5 hours | Per day | Trial, every 5 hours | Trial, per day |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Personal | 60 | 300 | 8 | 20 |
| Essential | 300 | 1,500 | — | — |
| MAX | 1,200 | 6,000 | — | — |
| Enterprise | Tailored | Tailored | — | — |
The limits grow with the allowance: Essential’s are 5× Personal’s, and MAX’s are 20×. On Enterprise, they’re agreed with you, along with the allowance.
During the Personal trial, the limits are lower
During the 14-day Personal trial, the trial limits apply — the last two columns of the table. When the trial ends and the subscription becomes paid, the plan’s limits apply. Essential and MAX have no trial: the plan’s limits apply from sign-up.
What happens when a limit is reached
- Automatic replies pause and resume on their own when the window resets — the 5-hour one or the daily one.
- The customer is told right away, instead of being left talking to no one.
- The dashboard warns you before it gets to that point.
- These limits count automatic replies: a short reply and a long one count the same.
If your plan’s limits kick in often, your store’s volume already calls for a bigger plan: they grow with the allowance.
